Civil Disobedience

Civil Disobedience

Civil disobedience is an act of resistance against the authority, in which a group of people believe either a law or an act from the government is being unfair, and demonstrate their inconformity by breaking certain laws.

Arguments, for and against:

If a law is unfair, people have the right to express their points of view. Civil disobedience is the most effective way of having a law changed. It demonstrates people's power and shows the government it cannot govern as it pleases.

It is ridiculous to think that after all we have evolved, some people are still trying to act as if they were in the middle ages. Civil disobedience is a regression. It is an attempt to denigrate the laws and the system that the same people have created, and only when something affects them negatively is when the protest. It is a selfish act, putting one's desires before common wellness.
